HOW TO JOIN -

First, request membership to the community with the journal you wish to join with.

In order to join, you must comment to this post with the following:

For characters that were present in apurgatorium:

Once verified that your character was originally in Purg, your request to join the community will be accepted.

For new characters:

There is no length requirement.) Feel free to get creative with this, just avoid linking things that can be removed for copyright violations like youtube links. There are NO exceptions to this process, even if I know you were in Purg and I know what journal you used in Purg, everyone must follow these steps in order to gain membership. Comments are screened.


edit: Tip for anyone that wants to go the distance like most of our current comments below, and add their own application. Sign into the character journal you used when you applied, you'll find the 'this is [character]'s journal!' comment required after the mod acceptance comment on the application page.

VII. UPPER LEVEL

Here is where you can find out who is living on the upper level or apply to have your character move up!

Please use the following format to request:

Employment list.

In order for your character to gain Upper Level access and have their powers returned to them, they have to be on good behavior and holding a job.There is a 10 day wait before you can get up there, regardless of how good your character is or how soon they get a job - however this does not mean you're entitled to have your character do nothing for 9 days, get a job and think they can access the Upper Level on Day 10. Your characters have to prove they're working towards bettering themselves and maintain a job long enough to show that they're serious about having employment.

Additionally, there is now a minimum post count: If you want access to the Upper Level, you have to make a certain number of posts before you are granted access. The character will then keep Upper Level access until one of the rules is broken (i.e. murdering another character) at which point they will have to start over again. Wait another 10 days, and within those 10 days, kill no other characters.

For every person someone kills, an additional 10 days is added to their punishment to remain on the lower level, without powers. Powers are stripped if already obtained before the kill.



Everyone make sure that you've commented to the appropriate threads in the Employment List - and make sure you have a player's permission, whether you contact the owner ICly or talk to someone out of character, to say your character works for their's.

IX. OFFERINGS & REQUESTS.

This post is to be used ICly. The Presence - or, sometimes other Powers within Purgatorium that characters may not be aware of - will grant requests if an acceptable offer is made in exchange.

Requests may be made using any variation of action tags. Have your character leave something within the Temple while making a request and they will be rewarded with an item on their bed when they return home. Neither Offerings or Requests necessarily need to be material possessions, you're character is free to ask for whatever they want, although there is no guarantee that they will get it. Feel free to be creative with this, but keep in mind that each request will be weighed against your character's offer.

A mod will answer all comments, informing you what your character will find on their bed when they return home. Make sure requests are clear, as sometimes you may find something unexpected in place of your wishes.
